Duties
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical plant and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across production machinery and site services
- Maintaining motors, drives, control panels, inverters, sensors, relays, switchgear, and associated systems
- Completing electrical inspections, testing, and servicing to maximise equipment reliability
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production performance
- Supporting machinery installations, upgrades, modifications, and improvement projects
- Fault finding on PLC-controlled machinery and automated systems
- Assisting with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
- Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Maintaining accurate engineering records and reporting recurring issues
- A recognised electrical engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent)
- Previous experience within an industrial, manufacturing, production, or engineering environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance skills
- Experience working with motors, drives, PLCs, control systems, sensors, and industrial electrical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team
