We are looking for a dedicated and electrically focused Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our operations team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and emergency procedures to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the building's critical electrical systems.
You will also have the opportunity to deputise and cover for the Technical Services Supervisor when required.

As a Electrical Maintenance Engineer you'll:
Carry out electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and emergency procedures to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the building's critical electrical systems.
Deputise and cover for the Technical Services Supervisor when required.
Execute scheduled electrical PPM and reactive maintenance in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), company engineering standards, and Health & Safety regulations (HASAWA).
Conduct expert electrical diagnostic checks, troubleshoot complex faults, and perform remedial repairs to maximize site reliability.
Ensure all daily checks, statutory electrical certifications, and risk assessments are completed, updated, and accurately recorded.
Escort and supervise external electrical and specialist sub-contractors while on site.
Attend weekly site meetings and toolbox talks, liaise professionally with clients, and provide regular reports on electrical assets and equipment.
Participate in an on-call site cover rota (1 week on / 1 week off).
Achieve timely completion of all reactive electrical works and PPM schedules within agreed SLAs with fully updated records, monthly processing of statutory electrical certifications, and proactive management of site assets under high Health & Safety
What we're looking for:
Proven background and strong professional experience in an electrical engineering discipline.
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an Electrical Trade, alongside a City & Guilds or equivalent in Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
BS7671 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382-18), ideally combined with C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing.
Hands-on experience maintaining HV/LV, MCCs, switchboards, generators, lighting, bus bars, inverters, distribution boards (DBs), and UPS systems.
Practical understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), experience with CAFM systems, and strong IT literacy.
Additional safety credentials such as an IOSH Qualification, CSCS Card, and/or Safe Pass (advantageous).
Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work unsupervised, take responsibility, prioritize tasks effectively, and remain calm under pressure.
Adaptable, reliable, detail-conscious, and a strong team player.
