• Working Pattern: NO NIGHTS , Earlies and late backshift , minimum 38 hours per week

We're looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated distribution and logistics operation. Working within a fast-paced warehouse environment, you'll maintain, fault-find and improve a wide range of automated material handling equipment that keeps products flowing to customers across the UK.

This is an excellent temporary contract opportunity for engineers from automated warehouses, FMCG, manufacturing, distribution centres, parcel hubs, airports, baggage handling, or other high-speed automated environments.

Typical Equipment includes Conveyor systems, Automated sortation systems, ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems), Pallet handling equipment, Cranes and shuttle systems, Automated packing and labelling machinery

Motors, drives and gearboxes, Sensors, scanners and safety systems, PLC-controlled equipment, Robotics and automation equipment

Key Responsibilities - Electrical Maintenance Engineer - temporary

• Reactive breakdown maintenance to minimise downtime
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Electrical fault finding on automated equipment
• PLC fault diagnosis and basic modifications
• Continuous improvement and reliability projects
• Supporting operational performance and site uptime targets
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and engineering standards

Ideal Background - Electrical Maintenance Engineer - temporary

We welcome applications from engineers with experience in:

• Automated warehouses and distribution centres, E-commerce fulfilment centres, Retail logistics operations, Parcel sorting hubs, Airports or baggage handling systems
• FMCG manufacturing, Food production
• High-speed production environments with focus on materials handling and packaging

Skills & Experience - Electrical Maintenance Engineer - temporary

• Electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent)
• Strong fault-finding skills
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment
• Knowledge of motors, inverters, sensors and industrial controls
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
• Continuous improvement mindset
