Electrical Maintenance Operative

We're looking for a qualified, proactive Electrical Maintenance Operative to join a growing team in a company based in the Storage sector. You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across UK facilities — self-storage units, office complexes, and retail parades — working independently and as part of a team.

Working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00–16:30).

• £35,000 - £45,000 starting salary, determined on experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and reactive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Work safely in line with safety standards, Permit to Work systems, and incident reporting procedures.
• Maintain safe, clean, and compliant working environments.
• Accurately record completed work and associated costs using our internal systems.

Candidate Specification

• Qualified electrician with completed apprenticeship.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Electrical Regulations certification.
• IPAF licence.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Solid understanding of health and safety practices, including risk assessments.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload to meet our KPIs and SLAs.
• Confident with IT systems for logging work and maintaining records.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
