We're now looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team and play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of our paper manufacturing operations.

The Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair of electrical infrastructure, production machinery and power plant systems across the site.
Working as part of a skilled engineering team, you'll help ensure maximum equipment reliability, minimise downtime and support continuous improvement across our operations.
This is a hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys fault finding, problem-solving and working with a broad range of electrical and control systems.
As our Electrical Maintenance Technician you will:
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across production and utility areas.
- Diagnose and rectify faults on electrical distribution, motor control and instrumentation systems.
- Inspect, test and maintain electrical circuits and equipment.
- Support the effective operation of paper machine, stock preparation and energy utility systems.
- Assist in returning plant to service following outages, trips or equipment failures.
- You'll work across a wide range of electrical and automation equipment, including: HV and LV electrical systems, Switchgear, cables and circuit protection, Motors, drives, servos and MCCs, Instrumentation and control systems, PLC and DCS systems, Safety instrumented and emergency shutdown systems, Lighting, heating and power installations and Paper manufacturing technologies and associated control systems
About You
We're looking for an electrically qualified maintenance professional with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
- NVQ in an Engineering discipline (or equivalent).
- Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing or process environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution, motor control and control systems.
- Experience working with PLCs, instrumentation and automation systems.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to maintenance.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
Experience within paper manufacturing, power generation, process industries or heavy manufacturing environments would be highly advantageous.
