This is a first-class Electrical Maintenance Technician position; this role will be site based in Immingham!

THE BUSINESS  

Our client specialises within the Agricultural sector, they are a true market leader within their niche. The Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) is responsible for maintaining the electrical reliability of plant and equipment while providing mechanical support where required.
The role will focus on electrical fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement, ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently and reliably.
  

 
THE ROLE
  
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults across manufacturing plant.
  • Maintain motors, drives, control panels and electrical distribution systems.
  • Working to maintain equipment such as drums, coolers & dryers and associated drives
  • Working to maintain automated bagging lines, vacuum fillers, palletisers and stretch machines
  • Working with PLC systems, inverters, variable drives, solenoids, sensors, relays, contactors and motors, etc
  • Maintaining bucket elevators including motors
  • Maintaining dust extraction systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
  • Test equipment following repairs.
  • Working to deliver basic facilities maintenance
  • Diagnose electrical and control system faults.
  • Interpret electrical drawings.
  • Resolve breakdowns safely and efficiently.
  • Support production during equipment failures.
  • Assist with mechanical maintenance activities.
  • Replace motors, gearboxes, conveyors and associated equipment.
  • Delivering basic instrumentation duties – temperature & pressure
  • Support planned shutdown work.
  • Identify recurring equipment failures.
  • Recommend engineering improvements.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades.
  • Support reliability initiatives.
  • Comply with Electrical Safety Regulations.
  • Follow Lock Out / Tag Out procedures.
  • Work within Permit to Work systems.
  • Maintain engineering documentation.
  • Report unsafe conditions.
  • Work closely with Production and Mechanical Engineers.
  • Support apprentices and colleagues.
  • Assist contractors during major works.
  
  
  
  
 
THE PERSON
  
  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship.
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Degree of multi-skilling in mechanical maintenance.
  • Ability to work with 3 phase and single-phase systems
  • Working knowledge of control panels
  • Ability to use PLC’s for fault finding – Siemens/Allen Bradley, etc
  • Able to deliver cable and wiring duties
  • Manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Variable Speed Drives.
  • Instrumentation.
  • Pneumatics.
