Electrical Manager

An experienced Electrical Manager to lead our Solar PV and Electrical Division. This is a hybrid role, combining office‑based coordination with occasional hands‑on support on site. The primary focus is on team oversight, operational management, system updates, certification compliance, and job planning.

You’ll be the central point of technical leadership—ensuring our engineers are supported, our installations meet industry standards, and our workflow runs smoothly from survey to sign‑off.

This role is ideal for a qualified electrician or supervisor who enjoys a balance of leadership, organisation, and technical involvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Oversight
    • Support, guide, and oversee the Solar PV and electrical installation teams
    • Conduct toolbox talks, quality checks, and technical mentoring
    • Ensure safe working practices and compliance with regulations
  • Operational & Administrative Management
    • Update internal systems, job boards, and project trackers
    • Manage and chase certifications (MCS, EPVS, Building Control, DNO, etc.)
    • Review upcoming jobs, ensuring materials, labour, and designs are ready
    • Liaise with office staff to maintain smooth scheduling and communication
  • Technical Support
    • Provide on‑the‑tools assistance when required (complex installs, troubleshooting, commissioning)
    • Review system designs and ensure installations meet Array Electrics’ standards
    • Support fault‑finding, customer queries, and post‑installation checks
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure installations meet MCS, TrustMark, and EPVS requirements
    • Maintain accurate documentation and sign‑off processes
    • Oversee health & safety compliance across all projects

Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition essential; Solar PV qualifications desirable
  • Experience supervising or managing electrical teams
  • Strong understanding of Solar PV, battery storage, and domestic electrical systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confident using digital systems, job management software, and certification portals
  • Ability to balance office duties with occasional site work
