We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Manager / EICA Manager to work across three new wastewater treatment schemes for Severn Trent Water (STW), working for an established regional principal contractor.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the electrical, instrumentation, control and automation elements of the projects, providing leadership to site teams and subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, programme requirements, BS7671 and STW standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate day-to-day electrical and EICA installation activities across three STW wastewater treatment schemes.
- Lead and coordinate electrical subcontractors, site supervisors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
- Work closely with the project management and engineering teams to achieve programme milestones.
- Ensure all electrical and EICA works are delivered in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Oversee installation of containment systems, cabling, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation, control systems and associated EICA equipment.
- Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical and other project disciplines.
- Liaise with project managers, construction teams, client representatives, designers and commissioning engineers.
- Review electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and technical documentation.
- Monitor progress, identify and resolve site and technical issues, and maintain accurate project records.
- Support inspection, testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover activities.
- Ensure electrical and EICA works are delivered to the required quality standards and project specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and support to supervisors, engineers and installation teams.
- Assist with planning, procurement, subcontractor management and resource requirements.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in an Electrical Manager, EICA Manager, Electrical Project Manager or similar senior electrical delivery role.
- Strong background in water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Experience managing electrical subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
- Good working knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and safe systems of work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications and EICA documentation.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation, instrumentation, control and automation systems.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- SMSTS and relevant ECS/CSCS certification.
Desirable
- Previous experience working to Severn Trent Water (STW) standards and specifications.
- Experience across multiple wastewater treatment schemes or complex infrastructure projects.
- Previous involvement in commissioning activities, including SAT, loop and cable checks, functional testing, fault finding and system handover.
- Experience working on live operational treatment works.
- Relevant electrical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience coordinating EICA interfaces with mechanical and civil works.
