Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Electrical Package Manager for a major data centre project in Vienna, Austria.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Package Manager to take ownership of the electrical package on a large-scale, technically complex data centre project.
You will work closely with the Project Manager, engineering, commercial and construction teams, as well as the client and subcontractors, to ensure the electrical package is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Electrical Package Manager Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery and coordination of the Electrical Package from installation through to handover.
- Manage electrical subcontractors, including onboarding, progress, manpower and performance.
- Coordinate electrical works with the project programme and key milestones.
- Drive EHS and QA/QC standards across the electrical package.
- Review drawings, specifications, IFC information and technical requirements.
- Coordinate RFIs, technical queries, design changes and BIM/CAD requirements.
- Manage package-level snagging, punch lists, documentation and close-out.
- Support commercial management of labour, materials, plant, variations and valuations.
- Work closely with the QS and commercial team on variations and change management.
- Prepare and assess subcontractor and supplier tender packages.
- Attend project, engineering, planning, coordination and client meetings.
- Provide regular progress reports, highlighting risks, delays and key issues.
- Ensure successful completion of O&M documentation, as-builts and final handover.
Electrical Package Manager Key Requirements
- 5+ years' experience working for a recognised construction contractor.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Package Manager, Electrical Manager, Electrical Engineer or similar.
- Strong experience managing electrical packages on large-scale construction projects.
- Previous data centre or mission-critical experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction, drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience managing subcontractors, programme, QA/QC and commercial changes.
- Familiarity with Primavera/Project planning software and CAD/BIM processes.
- Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
