Hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

Salary: Competitive, negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Pre-Construction Estimator to join our growing team based in Petham, Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong Building Services background to play a key role in securing a diverse range of electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation and raise RFIs where required.
• Prepare enquiries for suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
• Produce accurate estimates using Ensign estimating software.
• Quantify labour, plant and materials.
• Analyse supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure best value and compliance.
• Attend and contribute to pre-, mid- and post-tender meetings.
• Produce tender review packs for senior management.
• Follow up submitted tenders and support the successful conversion of bids.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Attend project handover meetings with the contracts team.
• Support the continuous improvement of estimating processes.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator within the Building Services industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical building services systems.
• Experience producing competitive and accurate tenders.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience using estimating software (Ensign preferred, but not essential).
• Full UK driving licence and own transport.
• Must live within approximately 45 miles of Petham, Canterbury.
