Electrical Project Manager – Data Centre & Critical Infrastructure Projects
DT Source are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Project Manager on behalf of a leading specialist contractor delivering electrical and M&E projects within critical environments.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering large-scale data centre and mission-critical projects.
The Role
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the operational delivery of electrical projects from pre-construction through to successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You will lead project teams, manage subcontractors, liaise with clients and commercial teams, and maintain strong relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
- Promote and maintain the highest standards of health and safety.
- Manage project programmes, costs, risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Review project scope, specifications and installation methodologies.
- Deliver regular client progress reports and internal contract reviews.
- Work closely with commercial teams to manage contractual matters.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
- Manage project defects and close-out processes.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Lead and develop project delivery teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and support staff development.
- Support bid and tender activities where required.
- Represent the business professionally with clients and stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
- Strong background within M&E and construction environments.
- Experience delivering data centre, critical infrastructure or mission-critical projects.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness.
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and MS Project.
- Understanding of project controls, reporting and programme management.
Desirable Qualifications
- PMP, CITPM, CSCPM or equivalent project management qualifications.
- Relevant electrical qualifications.
- SMSTS or equivalent health and safety certification.
