We are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team on an exciting hotel refurbishment project. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong electrical background and proven project management experience to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the electrical package from pre-construction through to completion.
Electrical Project Manager – Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the planning, management, and delivery of the electrical package.
- Manage electrical site teams, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Develop and monitor project programmes, identifying and mitigating any risks to delivery.
- Manage project budgets, cost control, variations, procurement, and forecasting.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with current regulations, project specifications, health & safety legislation, and company procedures.
- Coordinate with the client, consultants, main contractor, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Review drawings, technical submissions, and design information, resolving any technical issues.
- Oversee quality assurance, inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and final project handover.
- Attend client, design, and progress meetings, providing regular updates on programme, commercial performance, and project milestones.
- Ensure labour, materials, and plant are effectively planned and managed throughout the project.
- Lead and motivate the project team while promoting a positive health & safety culture on site.
Electrical Project Manager – Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager delivering commercial, hospitality, or large-scale refurbishment projects.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Black ECS card
- SMSTS qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- Strong understanding of commercial management, budgeting, procurement, and programme management.
- Excellent knowledge of current electrical regulations and health & safety legislation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction programmes.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
