An established Mechanical & Electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join its team.
The successful candidate will oversee electrical projects from inception through to completion, taking responsibility for planning, coordination, programme and delivery. You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.

This is a permanent, full-time Electrical Project Manager position within the company’s project delivery team.
About the Company
The business is a Mechanical, Electrical and Fire & Security contractor with an experienced team covering all aspects of project delivery.
Its services include complete project management, design, engineering, coordination of services, detailed programming and quantity surveying. The company works predominantly across the education, healthcare and public sectors.
Electrical works undertaken by the business include small power installations, lighting, specialist and emergency lighting, external lighting, standby power generation, HV/LV installations, EICRs and the maintenance and installation of electrical services.
With over 35 years’ industry experience within the team, the company has delivered a range of M&E projects within demanding working environments.
About the Role
As Electrical Project Manager, you will manage and coordinate electrical projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
You will work with clients, contractors, suppliers and the company’s internal team to maintain clear communication, monitor progress and deal with issues as they arise.
Key duties will include:

Managing and coordinating electrical projects, including planning, scheduling and execution

Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Liaising with clients, contractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle

Monitoring project progress and addressing issues as they arise

Conducting site visits, providing technical guidance and preparing project reports and documentation
Candidate Background
The company is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager or someone currently working in a closely related electrical project management position.
You will need:

Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a similar role

Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field

Strong organisation and time-management skills

The ability to manage project deadlines effectively

Good communication skills when dealing with clients, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders

The technical understanding required to assess electrical works and provide guidance during project delivery
