Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

An established and highly respected building services contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (NICEIC) to join its growing Mechanical & Electrical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong electrical professional to take ownership of NICEIC compliance while supporting the delivery of high-quality electrical works across a diverse portfolio of commercial, specialist, and residential projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical installations meet current regulations, maintaining the company's NICEIC accreditation, and providing technical guidance to engineers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Qualifying Supervisor

  • Act as the company's NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.
  • Ensure all electrical works comply with the latest BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
  • Review, inspect and sign off electrical certification and associated documentation.
  • Carry out regular site inspections and compliance audits across live projects.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to electrical engineers and supervisors.
  • Oversee inspection, testing and accurate recording of electrical works.
  • Maintain compliance with statutory, safety and quality standards.
  • Liaise with NICEIC representatives and external auditors.
  • Promote best practice and high standards of workmanship throughout the business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.

About You as the Electrical Qualifying Supervisor

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a proactive approach to electrical compliance.

Essential Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.

City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing qualification.

Valid ECS Card.

Minimum of 2 years' experience carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).

Excellent working knowledge of BS 7671 and both single-phase and three-phase electrical installations.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues.

Ability to work independently whilst supporting a wider team.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience as an NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor.
  • Knowledge of BS 5266 Emergency Lighting requirements.
  • Experience within commercial building services or M&E contracting.
