We are looking for an experienced Electrical Quality Lead to join a major Data Centre project in Sines, Portugal.

This is a senior site-based role with a strong electrical bias, responsible for leading the electrical QA/QC function and ensuring all electrical works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, compliance and client expectations.

You will work closely with the Project Management, Electrical Construction, Engineering, Commissioning, QA/QC and Client teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical QA/QC function across the project.
• Implement and manage the Project Quality Management System for electrical works.
• Lead and mentor Electrical QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors.
• Develop, review and manage ITPs, inspection procedures and quality documentation.
• Monitor electrical installation works to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and standards.
• Carry out inspections and coordinate testing of electrical systems.
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions and quality close-out.
• Work closely with Electrical Construction and Commissioning teams to resolve quality issues.
• Review subcontractor quality documentation and ensure compliance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
• Support internal and client quality audits.
• Ensure electrical quality dossiers, test records and handover documentation are completed.
• Drive a right-first-time quality culture across the project.
• Support commissioning and final handover of electrical systems.

Requirements

• Degree or qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Services or a related discipline.
• 8+ years' QA/QC experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong Electrical QA/QC background is essential.
• Experience with major electrical installations and systems.
• Data Centre / Mission Critical experience highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of LV, MV, HV, power distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, generators, containment and electrical installation.
• Strong understanding of ITPs, inspections, testing, NCRs and quality documentation.
• Experience managing subcontractors and QA/QC teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication and reporting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
