Electrical Shift Engineer

A leading UK Facilities Management provider is looking for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join its engineering team in Greater London. You’ll play a key role in keeping critical building services running safely and efficiently, carrying out planned maintenance, responding to faults and supporting the wider engineering team.
the role As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across electrical systems and equipment
- Responding to reactive maintenance requests and electrical faults
- Diagnosing issues and completing repairs efficiently
- Conducting routine inspections and testing of electrical installations
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements
- Accurately recording completed maintenance and remedial works
- Working alongside the wider engineering and Facilities Management team to maintain high standards across the site
- A recognised electrical qualification, such as City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Experience working as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer or Shift Engineer
- Previous experience within a Facilities Management or building services environment
- Strong fault-finding and electrical maintenance skills
- A good understanding of electrical health and safety requirements
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
