Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer – Critical Environment – £48,000 – 4 on 4 off Days & Nights

This is an excellent client direct opportunity for an Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a highly technical critical environment. Working within a professional engineering team, you will play a key role in maintaining critical electrical infrastructure while ensuring maximum site uptime.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across critical electrical infrastructure
  • Responding to reactive faults and supporting rapid fault diagnosis
  • Working on UPS systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, and distribution equipment
  • Maintaining lighting, emergency lighting, and small power systems
  • Completing plant room inspections and routine operational checks
  • Monitoring critical alarms and ensuring plant operates efficiently
  • Supporting mechanical building services systems where required
  • Liaising with specialist contractors during planned maintenance works
  • Completing shift reports, logbooks, and compliance documentation
  • Working safely within permit to work and site safety procedures

What We're Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience within commercial building services or critical environments
  • Strong electrical fault finding ability
  • Experience working on critical electrical plant is highly desirable
  • Professional attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a shift team
