HV Electrical Supervisor (499 kV AIS Equipment)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HV Electrical Supervisor with proven expertise in 499 kV Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) installations and commissioning. The successful candidate will supervise high-voltage electrical activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of 499 kV AIS equipment.
  • Coordinate daily site activities and manage electrical teams.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety procedures.
  • Review electrical drawings, method statements, and work packages.
  • Monitor progress and prepare daily and weekly reports.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and client representatives.
  • Conduct toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety inspections.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable industry standards and project requirements.
  • Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization, and handover activities.


Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in high-voltage substation projects.
  • At least 5 years' experience supervising 499 kV AIS equipment installation and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of HV substations, switchgear, protection systems, and electrical testing.
  • Experience with major OEMs such as Siemens Energy, Hitachi Energy, GE Grid Solutions, or Toshiba is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid safety certifications relevant to HV work are preferred.
