Qualified Supervisor (Electrical) | Southampton

£50,000 - £55,000 + Company Vehicle + Hybrid Working

Solent Construction Recruitment are working with a growing and highly respected Mechanical & Electrical contractor based in Southampton who are looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisor to play a key role in the continued growth of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on electrical professional who enjoys leading from the front. You'll be given genuine autonomy, direct access to senior management and the opportunity to help shape standards, processes and the future direction of the electrical division.

The Role

As the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining technical compliance across the business while supporting project delivery on site. This is not purely an office-based position. You'll be involved in site inspections, certification, technical support and mentoring apprentices, whilst remaining hands on when required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the NICEIC Qualified Supervisor and maintaining compliance standards

• Managing electrical quality, safety and technical standards across projects

• Conducting site inspections, assessments and certification sign off

• Providing technical support to management and site teams

• Supervising labour and assisting with project delivery

• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior electricians

• Working closely with project delivery and estimating teams

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, solution focused approach.

The ideal candidate will be calm under pressure, able to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, and willing to take ownership of their work. This role would suit someone who enjoys being part of a close knit team and wants to make a genuine impact within a growing business.

Essential Requirements

• 18th Edition

• ECS/JIB Card

• 2391 Test & Inspect (or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a NICEIC Qualified Supervisor or in a similar technical compliance role

• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications

• SSSTS

• First Aid

• Asbestos Awareness

• PASMA

• Solar PV, EV Charging or other specialist electrical qualifications

• £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
