I'm recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Electrical Technician to join their expanding manufacturing team in Poole.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and build of high-quality, bespoke equipment.

Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, they're looking to strengthen their production team with an experienced Electrical Technician who enjoys hands-on assembly, wiring and testing. Working alongside skilled Mechanical Assembly, Test and Quality teams, you'll play a key role in building bespoke machinery to the highest standards within a clean, modern manufacturing environment.

The Role
As an Electrical Technician, you'll be responsible for:
  • Assembling and wiring electrical systems using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
  • Building and installing electrical control panels into bespoke machinery.
  • Carrying out electrical testing, inspections and safety checks throughout the build process.
  • Completing build documentation and test records accurately.
  • Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Working collaboratively with production teams to achieve right-first-time builds.
What They're Looking For
To be successful as an Electrical Technician, you'll ideally have:
  • A completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least two years' experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or electro-mechanical build.
  • The ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
  • Experience carrying out electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
  • IPC certification would be advantageous.

  • Has a strong understanding of safe working practices across a range of electrical voltage systems.
  • Works in a methodical and organised way.
  • Has a positive, flexible attitude and enjoys working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
  • Communicates effectively with colleagues across production and quality functions.
