Electrical Technician

Our client, a major player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for a contract role based in Poole, UK. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge naval technology in a dynamic and fast-paced production environment.

• Working within a team or on an individual basis
• Cable assembly and looming using lacing and other cable accessories
• Assisting with the wiring of sub-assemblies/enclosures to process instructions
• Maintaining good housekeeping practices
• Working safely within an ESD protected area
• Maintaining and using tooling, including shadow boards
• Ensuring good communication with all levels of staff
• Being self-motivated and able to work on own initiative

• Proficiency in prototype and panel wireman tasks
• Experience in manufacturing cable assemblies and harnesses to high standards
• Understanding of MOD and IPC620 standards
• Experience working with electronic systems and hardware
• Good knowledge of company standards and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
