Are you an experienced Electrical Technician with strong wiring, assembly and fault-finding skills? Looking for a role that combines hands-on engineering with technical problem-solving in a modern manufacturing environment?

We're seeking an Electrical Technician to join a successful and growing engineering business based in Coleshill. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with electro-mechanical equipment, takes pride in quality workmanship and wants to be part of a team focused on continuous improvement, safety and technical excellence.

The Role

You'll be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, inspecting and repairing a range of electrical and electro-mechanical products. Working from electrical schematics and technical drawings, you'll ensure products are built and tested to the highest standards before dispatch.

You'll also support colleagues with technical queries, assist with troubleshooting activities and contribute to process improvements across the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembly, wiring and configuration of electrical and electro-mechanical products
• Fault finding, testing and repair of equipment
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Carrying out final inspections and quality checks
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
• Supporting internal teams with technical advice and product knowledge
• Developing and following standard operating procedures
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
• Supporting stock counts, workshop organisation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Participating in site safety activities and training programmes

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring or panel wiring
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
• Experience working on electro-mechanical equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/5 or above) or equivalent

Desirable

• Engineering apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ or similar qualification
• Time-served Electrical or Mechanical Fitter background
• Manufacturing or industrial engineering experience
• Knowledge of quality, Lean or 5S environments
• Experience mentoring or training colleagues
