ROLE: Electrical Technician

LOCATION: Northampton

HOURS OF WORK:  Days

BASIC SALARY: £40K per annum

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a reliable, hard working and experienced Electrical Technician to join their manufacturing team. Currently they are expanding into Battery Energy Storage Systems making this an exciting time to join their business.

Your responsibilities as an Electrical Technician:

• Electrical assembly and wiring using associated control panels
• Reading and working from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Installation and termination of cables, control systems and switchgear
• Testing, commissioning and fault-finding
• Carrying out functional testing to ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults during the build and testing process
• Completing test documentation and quality records
• General workshop duties as required
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

To be successful as an Electrical Technician you will have:

• Have experience in electrical assembly and wiring (required)
• Have experience testing and commissioning industrial equipment (required)
• Be able to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics (required)
• Have knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, control panels and control systems
• Be confident in electrical fault-finding and problem solving
• Have a full UK driving licence (preferred)
• Competent forklift driver
• Have a good eye for detail
• Be reliable, motivated and able to work as part of a team
