Job description :
Qualified Electrical test Engineer required for Commercial Project in Dover . ITS Building people are looking for an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to assist our client with a project based in Dover, Kent. Own transport is essential.
This contract is Monday to Friday and there may be the option to do overtime.
Daily responsibilities will include:
- Carry out high-current fault-loop impedance testing safely and accurately.
- Operate specialist electrical test equipment, including Sonel MZC-340-PV or equivalent.
- Undertake live electrical testing in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete safe isolation and electrical safety procedures.
- Record and report test results accurately.
- Work in accordance with the site's Electrical Safety Rules.
- Liaise with the site's Authorised Person (AP) / Senior Authorised Person (SAP) where required.
- Ensure all testing activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health, safety and electrical standards.
Requirements for the role
- Recognised electrical qualification.
- C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
- Proven experience in electrical inspection, testing and commissioning.
- Previous experience carrying out high-current fault-loop impedance testing.
- Experience using Sonel MZC-340-PV or equivalent high-current loop impedance testing equipment.
- Competent in live electrical testing and safe isolation procedures.
- Experience working on industrial or high-voltage electrical systems would be highly advantageous.
- Ability to work safely on systems operating between 690 V and 900 V.
- Able to obtain written authorisation under site Electrical Safety Rules.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and risk-control procedures.
