Electrician

We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance & Installation Electrician to join our growing engineering team based out of Carlisle.

In this varied position, you will cover sites across Cumbria, carrying out commercial planned and reactive maintenance, small to medium commercial installations, and a small proportion of domestic maintenance tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across commercial properties and estate portfolios.

• Execute small to mid-scale commercial installation works, containment, and wiring upgrades.

• Perform routine fault-finding, testing, inspection, and rectification.

• Complete minor domestic electrical repairs across local residential properties as required.

• Participate in a manageable standby/call-out rota to support key commercial client contracts.

• Maintain accurate digital job sheets, certification, and compliance records.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or City & Guilds equivalent) + AM2.

• Regulations: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

• Testing: City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing is highly desirable.

• Experience: Proven track record in commercial maintenance and installation work.

• Licence: Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

• Location: Based in or near Carlisle, with flexibility to cover client sites across Cumbria.
