This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll combine electrical testing and inspection with fault finding, panel wiring and occasional site installation work.
Working within a friendly engineering team, you'll be responsible for inspecting, testing and certifying bespoke low-voltage telecoms cabinets before they're dispatched to customers. You'll also support the wiring and assembly of electrical components from schematics and wiring schedules, helping deliver high-quality products used across a range of industries.
You'll occasionally travel to customer sites to assist with new product installations, giving you the opportunity to get involved with projects from build through to installation.

Key responsibilities
- Carry out inspection, testing and certification of electrical systems
- Produce accurate electrical test certificates and compliance documentation
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults
- Wire electrical components using schematics and wiring diagrams
- Support electrical assembly when required
- Ensure all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations
- Assist with occasional customer site installations
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to deliver high-quality products

- Panel Wirer with Inspection & Testing experience
- Industrial Electrician
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391, 2394/2395 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification
- Experience carrying out electrical inspection, testing and certification
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Full UK Driving Licence
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial or commercial environments
- Experience with low-voltage electrical systems or control panels
- £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Friday, 8:00am - 1:00pm
