Electrician

Clements Young require an experienced Electrician for a permanent renewable energy position based in Lincoln.

Location: Lincoln, covering sites throughout Lincolnshire
Basic rate: £20.08 per hour
Expected earnings: Approximately £43,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, generally 08:00–16:00
Employment: Permanent

The work will primarily involve electrical installations associated with heat pumps, solar PV and air-conditioning systems on domestic and commercial properties.

Previous solar or renewable energy experience is not essential. Training will be provided for an experienced Electrician who is interested in developing their skills within the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities will include:

• Completing electrical work on heat pump installations
• Supporting solar PV and air-conditioning installations
• Testing and certifying completed work
• Completing installation paperwork and uploading site photographs
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard

Applicants must have:

• Domestic and/or commercial electrical installation experience
• ECS/JIB Gold Card
• Current 18th Edition qualification
• The competence to test and certify their own work
• Full UK driving licence

The Electrician will normally report to the Lincoln office each morning to collect equipment, receive the day’s information and complete any necessary administration. Travel from the office is paid.

Most work will be within approximately one hour of Lincoln. Installations generally take up to two days, with a typical week involving between one and three different locations.

The package includes:

• £20.08 per hour basic rate
• 37.5 standard hours per week + 2.5 hours normally paid at time-and-a-half
• Expected annual earnings of approximately £43,000
• Company van and fuel card following successful completion of probation
• 20 days’ holiday plus eight bank holidays

• In-house and external training including training in heat pumps, solar PV and other renewable technologies.
