An established housing association is looking for an Electrician to join their new in-house repairs and maintenance team. This is a permanent position covering Oxfordshire and surrounding areas, offering a varied workload across residential properties.
You'll be carrying out a mixture of repairs, remedial works, rewires, kitchen and bathroom upgrades and emergency works, with a company van and tools provided.
The Role:
- Carry out a range of electrical repairs and maintenance to residential properties
- Complete remedial repairs, rewires and electrical works as required
- Carry out electrical works as part of kitchen and bathroom upgrades
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard, aiming for a first-time fix
- Carry out testing, inspections and surveys where required
- Complete emergency repairs and respond to additional works when needed
- Work alongside other trades on larger works and projects
- Keep your van stocked with the materials required to complete your work
- Update jobs and complete works orders using a PDA/mobile device
- Maintain a high standard of customer service when working in residents' homes
- Support and mentor apprentices and less experienced colleagues when required
- Participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota

Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence Willingness to undertake a Basic DBS check Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as part of the emergency rota
What We're Looking For:
Qualified Electrician with experience in repairs and maintenance City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent electrical qualification ECS / CSCS Experience working in residential properties Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills Good customer service and communication skills Comfortable using mobile technology and electronic job management systems Able to work independently and manage your own workload Good understanding of health and safety Previous DLO experience would be beneficial but is not essential
