About the Role

We are recruiting for a skilled Electrician to join a busy commercial site in Newcastle City Centre, working on the installation phase of a new‑build office development. This is a long‑term contract with consistent hours and regular overtime available.

You’ll be working as part of an established electrical team, carrying out a range of installation tasks including containment, wiring, lighting, and associated commercial fit‑out duties. The site is well‑organised, safety‑focused, and offers ongoing work for reliable tradespeople.

Key Details

• Position: Electrician (IPAF required)

• Location: Newcastle City Centre

• Project Type: Commercial – New‑Build Offices

• Start Date: ASAP start available

• Hours:  Up to 45 hours per week

• Pay Rate: £25.20 per hour

• Overtime: 5 hours per week available at £35.28

• Duration: Ongoing - approx 6 months +

What You’ll Be Doing

• Installing commercial containment systems

• First and second fix electrical work

• Working at height using IPAF equipment

• Supporting the wider electrical team with site progress

• Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards

What You Need

• Valid JIB AND IPAF

• Proven experience on commercial or new‑build projects

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Ability to work overtime as required
