About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Temporary Electrician to join our team on a substation construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure project, supporting the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems in a safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical containment, cabling, and associated equipment.
• Carry out termination and connection of LV and control wiring.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all site health and safety procedures.
• Report progress and any issues to the Site Supervisor.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• ECS Gold Card (or equivalent electrical competency card).
• Previous experience working on substations, industrial, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Qualifications

• National Grid Persons or Competent Person authorisation.
• High Voltage (HV) experience.
• SSSTS or SMSTS.
• First Aid at Work.
• IPAF and/or PASMA.
• Full UK driving licence.
