Electrician – Testing & Maintenance

Location: Covering Central London and surrounding areas

Salary: £ 40,000 - £45,000 DOE + Package

Job Type: Permanent

Our client has been delivering electrical and mechanical services to local authorities and housing associations for over 40 years. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrician to join our expanding team.

This is a varied role combining fault finding, testing and inspection, responsive maintenance and installation works across domestic and commercial properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
  • Domestic and commercial installations
  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs)
  • Testing and inspection works
  • Consumer unit and circuit upgrades
  • Reactive and planned maintenance works
  • Small project and installation works
  • Emergency call-out duties as part of a rota

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or recognised apprenticeship
  • AM2 qualification
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent Testing & Inspection qualification)
  • ECS Gold Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience carrying out EICRs
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Desirable Experience

  • Social housing or local authority contracts
  • NHS or commercial maintenance environments
  • Working within occupied properties
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Knowledge of risk assessments and safe systems of work
