This is a varied role where you'll respond to electrical faults, breakdowns and urgent repair requests. With Monday to Friday hours, ongoing training and additional earning potential through overtime and callout work, this is a great opportunity for an experienced electrician looking for a stable permanent position.
I'd love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as an Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, Breakdown Electrician, Electrical Engineer or Reactive Repairs Electrician.
As an Electrician, you will be:
- Responding to reactive maintenance calls and electrical breakdowns
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs across residential and commercial properties
- Carrying out first and second fix works, including replacing wiring, accessories, components and consumer units
- Completing emergency and priority repairs within agreed response times
- Taking part in an evening and weekend on-call rota
- Completing job cards, worksheets and reports accurately
- Identifying and reporting additional remedial works
- Managing van stock and organising your daily workload
- Working in line with RAMS, CDM 2015 and site safety procedures
- Communicating professionally with tenants, clients, site managers and other trades
I'd love to speak to anyone who has:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience
- Previous experience in reactive or breakdown maintenance
- A valid ECS or CSCS card, with Gold Card preferred
- A full UK driving licence
- The ability to manage their own workload and work calmly under pressure
- A willingness to participate in an on-call rota

This role is offering a salary of around £36,000 to £42,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus overtime and on-call allowance.
Location & travelThis Electrician role is based from a head office near Preston Brook, with travel to residential and commercial sites from either home or the office as required. Standard working hours are 08:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, with participation in a scheduled out-of-hours rota.
