I am currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer / Electrician to join an established engineering business based in Cambridge.
This is a permanent opportunity for an electrician with a strong background in electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault finding, looking for a varied role within an established engineering team.
The role will involve working across both domestic and commercial environments, carrying out planned and reactive electrical works for a variety of customers.
The business operates across a broad range of building services, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work across a varied range of electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installation and maintenance
- Electrical testing and inspection, including EICRs
- Fault finding and electrical repairs
- Remedial works and electrical upgrades
- Installation and maintenance of lighting and power systems
- Planned and reactive electrical works
- Working across domestic and commercial properties
- Diagnosing electrical faults and providing effective solutions
- Completing job sheets and relevant documentation
- Working safely and in line with current electrical regulations
- Maintaining a professional approach when dealing with customers and clients
- Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Relevant Inspection & Testing qualification and practical experience
- Previous experience working as an Electrician, Electrical Engineer or Electrical Technician
- Strong electrical installation and maintenance experience
- Proven fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Experience completing electrical testing and inspection, including EICRs
- Good knowledge of current electrical regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Good health and safety awareness
- Ability to work independently and as part of an established engineering team
