Electrician (Temp-to-Perm Opportunity)

  • Location: Beeston (NG9) - Covering Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire
  • Salary: £40,548 per annum
  • Temporary Pay Rate: £21.63 per hour PAYE or £27.88 per hour Umbrella
  • Contract: Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (30 minutes unpaid lunch per day)
  • Base: Beeston Office, NG9 1LA
  • Immediate Start: Subject to successful interview and competency test

The Opportunity

We are recruiting a skilled and qualified Electrician to join an in-house repairs and maintenance team. This is a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, offering an immediate start and the potential to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.

The role involves carrying out domestic electrical repairs and maintenance across approximately 10,500 homes throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, supporting residents by ensuring properties remain safe, compliant and well maintained.

What's on Offer

  • £21.63 per hour PAYE or £27.88 per hour Umbrella whilst working on a temporary basis
  • Genuine temp-to-perm opportunity with the potential to move into a permanent employed role
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • 30 minutes unpaid lunch per day
  • 1 in 3 weeks late shift rotation (9:30am to 6:00pm)
  • Company van and fuel card provided
  • Power tools, mobile phone, full uniform and PPE provided
  • DBS check required due to working in occupied homes

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 2361 Parts 1 & 2 and AM2 (or equivalent)
  • 17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
  • Full UK manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 year's driving experience

The Role

  • Carry out domestic electrical installation, repair and maintenance works
  • Undertake inspection, testing, certification and remedial works
  • Work in compliance with IEE Wiring Regulations and Building Regulations
  • Attend in-house training and CPD to support industry accreditation
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service when working in occupied homes
