Electrician

Electrician - Housing Services

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our Housing Services team. You will carry out repairs, maintenance, testing, inspection, and installation work across a range of council-owned domestic and residential properties.

Houly Rate - £30.32 per hour.

Must have own van.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations.
• Carry out testing, inspection, and certification in line with current regulations.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Complete work records and reports electronically and manually.
• Provide excellent customer service when working in occupied properties.
• Participate in out-of-hours call-out rotas and training programmes as required.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent).
• Completed recognised electrical apprenticeship with relevant post-apprenticeship experience.
• Knowledge of BS 7671 and Electricity at Work Regulations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding, communication, and customer service skills.
