We are currently recruiting for an Electrician to join a Local Authority Housing Repairs team covering South Shields and South Tyneside. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity working Monday to Friday, carrying out repairs and maintenance within void and tenanted properties.


Key Responsibilities
 
  • Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance to void and tenanted properties
  • Undertake responsive repair work across South Shields and South Tyneside
  • Perform fault finding activities
  • Complete testing and inspection duties
  • Carry out 1st and 2nd fix electrical installation work
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with current regulations


Requirements
 
  • Craft Certificate in Electrical Installation Work
  • Time served recognised apprenticeship in Electrical work
  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations in Electrical Installation
  • Level 3 2391 Testing, Inspection and Certification or equivalent
  • Experience of all 1st and 2nd fix electrical installation
  • Full UK Driving Licence


Salary & Benefits
 
  • £21.13 Ltd per hour (PAYE equivalent £18.13 per hour)
  • Temp to perm opportunity
  • 37 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Holiday allowance
  • Sociable working hours
  • Overtime available
