Service Engineer (Electrician)
Location: Primarily Central London (with occasional UK travel and overnight stays)

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Service Engineer (Electrician) to join our growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role involving the installation, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance of specialist mechanical and electrical systems across commercial and industrial sites.
The majority of work is based in Central London, although occasional travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays, will be required.
Full product training will be provided during an initial 3-month training and assessment period, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer looking to develop specialist skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out site surveys
- Install mechanical and electrical systems
- Commission new installations
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Attend reactive maintenance call-outs
- Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults
- Provide after-sales support
- Test, repair, and maintain specialist equipment
- Complete project-related documentation and office-based administration
- Support project delivery and coordination
- Participate in an on-call rota following successful completion of training
- Travel to sites across Central London and, where required, throughout the UK
Requirements
Essential
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Service Engineer within construction, pumping systems, cooling systems, or similar mechanical/electrical environments
- Qualified Electrician with:
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
- ECS Card
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D technical drawings
- Full UK manual driving licence
Desirable
- Experience with rainwater harvesting or greywater recycling systems
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- Previous experience leading small team
