Electronic Assembler

Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £24,055 – £24,991
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 4:30pm
4-day working week!

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for an Electronic Assembler to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Chesterfield.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in electronics assembly and soldering who is looking for a hands-on role within a professional manufacturing environment — and a 4-day working week!

As an Electronic Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components and products to a high standard, working from technical drawings, schematics and detailed work instructions.

Duties of a Electronic Assembler:

• Assembling electronic components, PCBs and wiring harnesses
• Hand-soldering electronic components to a high standard
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics and work instructions
• Using hand tools and equipment including soldering irons, crimpers, wire strippers and microscopes
• Carrying out mechanical assembly, mounting components and securing hardware
• Operating manufacturing machinery and equipment
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved
• Completing production records, work orders and inspection documentation
• Identifying and reporting any defects or quality issues
• Working in line with company QMS and AS9100 procedures
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in electronics assembly and soldering
• The ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and good manual dexterity
• Experience using assembly tools and equipment
• A positive, reliable and self-motivated approach
• Basic computer skills

Desirable:

• Knowledge of IPC standards
• Experience operating SMT, flow solder or wave solder equipment
• Previous experience within aerospace, electronics or precision manufacturing
