EXCLUSIVE ROLE: Chroma Recruitment is looking for an experienced Electronic Technician to support the assembly, testing and refurbishment of specialist electrical and mechanical products.

This Electronic Technician role has a strong electronic assembly focus, alongside precision mechanical and pneumatic assembly, functional testing and support for client and third-party inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out electronic, mechanical and pneumatic assembly and refurbishment
  • Solder small components and produce complex wiring and cable assemblies
  • Read detailed assembly drawings and parts lists, maintaining accurate documentation
  • Complete functional testing, electronic fault-finding and fault investigation
  • Prepare equipment for FATs and support client/third-party testing, workshop activities and off-site customer requirements

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as an Electronic Technician within a manufacturing, engineering or assembly environment
  • Strong soldering, complex wiring, cable assembly and precision fitting skills
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists and test requirements
  • Confident electronic fault-finding, quality control and problem-solving capability

A recognised apprenticeship and ONC, NVQ or equivalent qualification in an electrical/mechanical discipline is preferred
