Junior Electronics Design Engineer | Analogue & Digital Design | PCB Design | Product Development A growing and innovative technology company is seeking an Electronics Design Engineer to join its established engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to prototyping, testing, and production support. This role offers exposure to a wide range of projects and technologies, making it ideal for an engineer looking to further develop their technical expertise and project leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits for new and existing products.
  • Produce schematics and PCB layouts using industry-standard design tools.
  • Support projects through the complete product development lifecycle.
  • Perform circuit simulation, verification, prototyping, and testing activities.
  • Debug and resolve hardware issues during development and production phases.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Lead smaller design projects and contribute to larger development programmes.
  • Manage multiple design activities and priorities simultaneously.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams when required.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree, HND, HNC, or equivalent experience in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics design principles.
  • Experience designing electronic circuits and taking products through the full design process.
  • Excellent fault-finding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
  • Proactive approach with strong organisational and reporting skills.
  • Ambitious, analytical, and eager to learn new technologies and methodologies.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools.
  • Familiarity with electronic design software such as Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, Altium Designer, or similar platforms.
  • Experience using simulation and verification tools.
  • Knowledge of component selection, sourcing, and lifecycle management.
  • Exposure to hardware prototyping, testing, and production support activities.
