White Label Recruitment are currently supporting a highly innovative engineering business in Newark who are looking to appoint an experienced Electronic Hardware Engineer to join their growing technical team.

Working with global customers across demanding industries, our client designs and manufactures advanced engineered products, combining electronics, software and mechanical systems to deliver reliable solutions for complex applications.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electronic Hardware Engineer looking to develop their expertise within a technically challenging environment, working across product development, testing, fault finding and continuous improvement.

The Role

As an Electronic Hardware Engineer, you will support the design, development, testing and improvement of electronic products throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the design, development and testing of electronic hardware products.
  • Managing hardware changes including product improvements, cost reductions and component obsolescence.
  • Producing technical specifications, reports and engineering documentation.
  • Carrying out fault finding, debugging and root cause analysis.
  • Supporting electrical testing activities including EMC compliance.
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes.
  • Supporting product reliability and quality improvements.
  • Providing technical support to technicians and wider engineering teams.
  • Identifying and managing technical risks throughout development projects.

About You

You will be an experienced Electronic Hardware Engineer with a background in electronics development, product design or manufacturing environments.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years’ experience within an electronics development or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience designing analogue and digital electronic circuits.
  • Strong experience using Altium Designer.
  • Knowledge of EMC design principles, pre-compliance testing and certification processes.
  • Experience with digital communication protocols such as SPI, I2C and USB.
  • Strong technical documentation and report writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience with embedded systems and programming languages such as C or C#.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools such as SPICE.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production engineering or product improvement activities.
