Do you enjoy building relationships with employers and helping people take the next step in their careers?
We're working with a specialist college in Northamptonshire that is looking for a Construction Employer Engagement & Partnerships Officer to connect construction employers with students preparing to enter the industry.
This is a hands-on role where you'll spend your time speaking with employers, arranging work placements, visiting businesses, supporting students and helping create opportunities that lead to future employment.
What you'll be doing
- Building relationships with local construction companies and industry partners
- Finding work placement opportunities for students
- Visiting employers and placement sites across the region
- Matching students with suitable placements
- Supporting employers throughout the placement process
- Organising careers events, employer talks and industry engagement activities
- Working with construction tutors to understand student and employer needs
- Monitoring placements and ensuring the required paperwork and compliance checks are completed
- Helping students develop valuable industry experience before they enter employment
What we're looking for
You don't necessarily need to come from education.
We'll consider candidates with experience in:
- Employer engagement
- Recruitment
- Apprenticeships
- Business development
- Account management
- Employability services
- Construction training
- Full clean driving license and access to own vehicle
Most importantly, you'll be confident building relationships, organised in your approach and comfortable working with both employers and students.
