Job Title: Employment Advisor / Recruiter
Location: Birmingham - Centre and field based - visiting surrounding community venues
Salary: £30,000
Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Pension + Much More!
Type: Full Time, FTC (up until Spring 2028, with a possibility of extension)
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and engaging individual, to support young adults facing barriers to employment, helping them develop their confidence, secure suitable work and sustain long term employment.
The Role:
- Engage, motivate and support unemployed participants through to gaining sustainable employment or a suitable learning pathway, enabling progression into employment.
- Proactively build relationships with employers and education providers to source and match suitable job opportunities and further education pathways for individuals on your caseload.
- Provide tailored support to help individuals overcome barriers to employment, secure work, and sustain employment through ongoing in-work support.
- Arrange work experience and training opportunities,
- Assess individual needs, offer guidance on benefits and workplace challenges and signpost to relevant services.
- Undertake community outreach to promote the service and support clients’ confidence, wellbeing and progression into work.
- Must have experience of working within a similar Employability/Support focussed role, supporting adults with mental health conditions, physical/learning disabilities, etc.
- Experience of employer engagement/recruitment, resulting in the sourcing of job opportunities.
- The ability to demonstrate coaching/mentoring and persuasion/influencing experience.
- Must be IT literate.
- Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
