The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment Associate Solicitor to join a growing Commercial Litigation and Employment team within an established regional law firm.
Working closely with the Employment Director, you will play a key role in developing and expanding the firm's employment law offering, advising both employers and employees across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment solicitor who enjoys variety, wants genuine client contact and is keen to have an active role in the growth of a developing practice area.
Applications are welcomed from candidates at varying levels of PQE, with technical ability, commercial awareness and attitude being key considerations.
The Role
You will advise on a broad range of employment matters, including:
Employment disputes and Employment Tribunal proceedings
Settlement and dispute resolution
Employment contracts, policies and procedures
TUPE transfers
Business restructures and redundancies
Strategic HR and employee relations matters
Dismissals and grievances
Supporting the wider Corporate & Commercial team on employment-related matters
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of your own caseload while working alongside an experienced team and contributing to the continued development of the department.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally:
Have experience working within employment law
Possess strong technical knowledge and excellent drafting skills
Be confident advising clients and providing practical, commercially focused solutions
Be comfortable managing their own caseload
Have excellent communication and client relationship skills
Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a wider team
Have an interest in business development and helping to grow a developing employment practice
Be committed to delivering an excellent level of client service
