The firm boasts a well-established employment practice and advises clients ranging from SMEs and owner-managed businesses through to large national organisations and public sector bodies.


Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of work, the team is now seeking an experienced Senior Associate to play a key role in the ongoing success and development of the practice.


Your new role

As a Senior Associate within the employment team, you will be responsible for managing a broad and complex caseload of respondent employment matters while supporting the wider growth of the department.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising employers on a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Managing complex Employment Tribunal claims from inception through to final hearing.
  • Providing strategic advice on disciplinary, grievance, discrimination and whistleblowing matters.
  • Advising on restructures, redundancies, TUPE transfers and workforce management issues.
  • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, senior executive agreements and workplace policies.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior solicitors within the team.
  • Contributing to business development initiatives and strengthening existing client relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales or Chartered Legal Executive with 6+ years' PQE.
  • Strong respondent employment law experience gained within private practice.
  • Demonstrable experience handling complex Employment Tribunal litigation.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and commercial awareness.
  • A proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and business development skills.
