IPS Employment Specialist
Location: New Moulton
Salary: £30,000 per annum

About the Role
Trigon Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and motivated Employment Specialist to join a leading organisation supporting individuals with barriers to employment across New Moulton and the surrounding area.
Working within the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, you will provide personalised employment support to participants, helping them identify their career aspirations, build confidence, secure suitable employment and sustain their chosen job.
This is a community-focused, flexible role, offering the opportunity to work from home when appropriate while spending the majority of your time meeting participants, employers and partner organisations in community settings.
You will take a person-centred approach, working closely with individuals who may face a range of barriers, including mental health conditions, neurodiversity, SEND, health conditions and other complex circumstances.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of participants, providing tailored employment support based on their individual needs and aspirations.
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred employment guidance, coaching and vocational support.
  • Identify participants' skills, strengths, interests, experience and employment goals.
  • Develop and regularly review personalised action plans to support progression into sustainable employment.
  • Build strong and productive relationships with local employers to identify and develop suitable job opportunities.
  • Proactively engage with employers and promote the benefits of inclusive recruitment.
  • Match participants with appropriate vacancies based on their skills, aspirations, experience and preferences.
  • Support participants with job searching, applications, CVs, interview preparation and employer engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, Jobcentre Plus, support services and community organisations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records, action plans and compliance documentation.
  • Work towards agreed performance and contractual outcomes while maintaining high standards of participant support.
  • Deliver employment support in accordance with IPS Fidelity principles and relevant contractual requirements.
Essential Requirements:
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in employment support, IPS, supported employment, welfare-to-work or similar services.
Applications are also welcomed from candidates with transferable experience in areas such as SEND, mental health, recovery, supported housing, community support or other frontline support services, provided you have a strong interest in helping people progress towards employment.
  
You will also need:
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience supporting individuals who face multiple or complex barriers.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • The ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and work independently.
  • Confidence engaging with employers and developing employment opportunities.
  • A proactive, solution-focused and resilient approach.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous:
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Knowledge of IPS (Individual Placement and Support) and Fidelity principles.
  • Experience supporting individuals with SEND or neurodiverse needs.
  • Understanding of inclusive recruitment and workplace adjustments.
  • Knowledge of the Access to Work scheme.
  • Experience delivering employment support through similar programmes.
  • Lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery.
