Are you an experienced Employment Tax professional looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a regional tax agenda within a global organisation? CMA Recruitment Group is partnering with a market-leading international business to recruit an Employment Tax Manager into its established Tax & Treasury function.
This is a highly visible role with responsibility for employment tax matters across the EMEA region, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, Payroll, Reward and Legal functions. Offering broad exposure, international reach and genuine influence, the position would suit an individual looking to further develop their expertise within a complex and evolving environment.
What will the Employment Tax Manager role involve?
- Acting as the subject matter expert for employment tax across the EMEA region, ensuring ongoing compliance, governance and effective control frameworks are maintained across multiple jurisdictions
- Leading on a broad range of employment tax matters including employee benefits, PAYE Settlement Agreements, international mobility, business travellers, home and overseas working arrangements, and share scheme reporting
- Acting as the primary point of contact for HMRC and other tax authorities, managing enquiries, reviews and disputes while developing robust technical positions and mitigating tax risk
- Partnering with Finance, Payroll, HR, Legal and Reward teams to strengthen tax governance, enhance controls and ensure employment tax considerations are embedded within business decision-making
- Monitoring legislative developments and identifying opportunities to improve processes, optimise the organisation's employment tax position and support wider strategic business initiatives
Suitable Candidate for the Employment Tax Manager vacancy:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA) or qualified Tax professional (ATT/CTA), or possess equivalent employment tax experience gained within practice or industry
- Strong technical knowledge of UK employment taxes, including PAYE, NIC, benefits-in-kind, off-payroll working (IR35) and share scheme reporting
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences across multiple business functions
