Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Energy Manager to deliver a world‑class energy management service across a portfolio of high‑profile sites.

This role is integral in supporting ambitious energy and carbon‑reduction targets, driving continuous improvement across multiple UK locations. The Energy Manager will work closely with colleagues and customer teams to improve energy efficiency and ensure compliance with all statutory and technical requirements. With a blend of technical understanding, practical implementation and proactive engagement, this role helps shape sustainable operational practices across a varied estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective management of energy resources in line with organisational and client objectives.
  • Identify, develop and support the implementation of new energy‑related opportunities.
  • Carry out energy management tasks to maintain compliance and service quality.
  • Motivate and train colleagues and customer teams in strong energy management practices.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of legal, statutory and technical energy requirements.
  • Promote energy efficiency and provide specialist advice on efficient operational practices.
  • Develop Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) supported by ROI assessments.
  • Undertake energy surveys across office and retail environments.
  • Produce feasibility studies for costed energy‑reduction initiatives, including embedded generation and CHP.
  • Manage and deliver energy‑saving projects from concept through to implementation.

Person Specification

  • Clear and demonstrable experience in energy management.
  • Experience in energy and/or carbon management activities.
  • Proven experience working across a client estate with a focus on energy optimisation.
  • Knowledge of key techniques and technologies supporting efficient energy use.
  • Competency in energy and utility benchmarking and statistical analysis.
  • Working knowledge of energy Monitoring & Targeting (M&T) software.
  • Understanding of BMS and control theory for driving energy savings.
  • Project management experience.
  • Full UK driving licence, with regular site travel required.
