Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking an Energy Manager to join its sustainability team, working with high-profile clients to develop and deliver ambitious environmental targets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and driven energy professional to provide energy and utility management services across a diverse portfolio of client sites throughout the UK. The role will focus on supporting sustainability objectives through effective energy, water and resource management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering year-on-year energy savings and supporting the achievement of challenging energy, water and carbon reduction targets. Working across a range of environments, you will identify opportunities for improvement, provide expert guidance and help drive best practice in resource efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage energy resources effectively to support client objectives and sustainability targets.
  • Identify, develop and support the implementation of energy and water efficiency opportunities.
  • Deliver energy-related activities in line with service requirements and compliance obligations.
  • Promote best practice in energy and water management across client organisations.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to colleagues and stakeholders on efficient resource management.
  • Complete benchmarking activities to identify and prioritise sites for energy surveys.
  • Undertake energy surveys across a range of premises, including offices, manufacturing facilities and retail environments.
  • Identify energy conservation measures (ECMs), assess return on investment (ROI) and support the development of practical energy solutions through to operational project delivery.

Person Specification

  • Experience in energy management or a similar engineering profession.
  • Good understanding of the principal techniques and technologies that support the efficient use of energy.
  • Understanding of opportunities to improve water efficiency and reduce consumption.
  • Competency in energy and utility benchmarking techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Understanding of energy metering principles and the importance of data quality.
  • Knowledge of how energy markets operate.
  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider Energy Management team.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as required (car or car allowance provided).
