Due to continued growth, we are seeking skilled Marine Engineers to join their award-winning team and contribute to the build of these world-class vessels.
The Role
As a Marine Engineer, you will play a key role in the installation, assembly, and testing of critical yacht systems, ensuring every vessel meets the exceptional standards our client is renowned for.
You will be working on high-value luxury products where precision, attention to detail, and quality workmanship are essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engine installation and alignment
- Engine shaft and gearbox alignment
- Installation and testing of hydraulic systems
- Working with fuel systems and domestic water systems
- Installation of cooling systems
- Working with engine control systems
- Installation of basic electrical components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Carrying out testing and quality inspections to ensure systems perform to specification
Power tools will be provided; however, candidates will be expected to supply their own basic hand tools, including screwdrivers, tape measures, and spirit levels.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have previous engineering experience within a manufacturing, marine, automotive, aerospace, or similar environment
- Can confidently interpret and work from scaled technical drawings (1:10)
- Take pride in producing high-quality work to exacting standards
- Thrive in a fast-paced production environment
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Have excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Previous marine engineering experience is desirable but not essential for candidates with transferable engineering skills.
Working Hours
Day Shift
Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30
Night Shift
Monday to Thursday 18:00 - 04:30
- Weekend overtime opportunities available
- Overtime subject to business requirements
Pay & Overtime
Your Pay
- £15.50 - £16.53 per hour PAYE + 30 days holiday
OR
- £17.52 - £18.69 per hour with Advanced Holiday Pay
Overtime Rates
- Time and a Half (x1.5) for overtime hours
- Double Time (x2) available on Sundays and Bank Holidays
- Overtime opportunities available subject to production requirements
